So, I started dancing when I was 3 years old and continued taking lessons until I graduated high school when I was 18. I even took a few community classes throughout college. Needless to say, I'm pretty good with choreography. Bryan, on the other hand, basically has two left feet. I think the idea of our first dance, where
everyone will be watching him dance kind of freaks him out. And the idea of just swaying back and forth together makes me want to vomit. So he has agreed to take dance lessons with me!
I know he doesn't really
want to take dance lessons, but a) it will make him feel more comfortable the day of and b) he knows I will love every minute of it (he's such a sweatheart). And the other day I stumbled upon a ballroom dance studio in Pittsburgh that I think will be perfect for us:
They will even help us with song selection!!!! I don't know when we'll do this (probably sometime this summer) but I'm extremely excited to have found somewhere that does couples lessons specifically for weddings!!!
Will you be taking dance lessons with your future hubby before the big day?
We were thinking about dance lessons... we'd love to surprise our family with a steamy tango or something...
ReplyDeleteHow many DIY projects do you have?
HiLLjO - I have a bazillion DIY projects...haha. Most of them are on the timeline that is on the "Countdown to the Big Day" page of my blog!
ReplyDeletei'm so jealous! We actually BOTH Wanted to but it's just something that has kind of gotten pushed to the last minute and I'm not sure if we can fit it in at this point...BUT thank you for this post because i'm going to go see if I can find a place near us where we can take a class or two. how many lessons are you going to take?
ReplyDeletePS: In answer to your question on my blog: The post office SHOULD hand cancel for you...it's the lazy ones that don't. However, I will say (I know we're both perfectionists) So it might be better to ask to do it yourself because then you can make sure the stamp is done perfectly straight, pretty and juuust touching the stamp. Otherwise..they just stamp whereever and all over the place because they don't care to make it look good.
Yes we both want to. To find one for weddings - well done girl. I just don't know when we'll get round to it, but it's on my list to make some enquiries soon.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to. We aren't having a slow song so we (mostly he) will need all the help we can get.
ReplyDeleteWe wanted to do that, but we never had time. It's kind of funny though because our reception was at a ballroom dancing studio (perfect location for a reception).
